Born to parents Doug Finch and Beb Finch on September 3, 1980, Jennie Finch grew up in La Mirada, California. In the past, her father, Doug, was her first inspiration and softball coach.

Jennie grew up with her two older brothers, Shane and Landon. The three brothers played softball every chance they got. Finch started playing with her brothers when she was five years old.

Speaking of high school of hers, the 42-year-old was a star player for La Mirada High School in many sports.

Jennie received a varsity letter four times for softball and twice for basketball and volleyball. Added to that, she was also the captain of all three teams.

He achieved a career-high in doubles and threw his first no-hitter during the NCCA tournament on May 21 against the Texas State Bobcats.

Jennie set a new NCAA record by winning her 51st consecutive game. A packed Rita Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium cheered his play in a 6-0 win over Cal State Northridge.
